2022 Resolution Reset BabbleBoxx

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx

To help me start the year out on a high note, I received a great box of goodies from BabbleBoxx. I have enjoyed testing out these products, and have been using them pretty much daily. These products range from consumables to items that will help me stay productive throughout the workweek.

What’s in the Resolution Reset BabbleBoxx?

I’m going to run through these items one by one and explain in further detail how I’m using each of them to help me advance in my health and wellness goals for 2022.

Shaklee: Collagen-9 and Life Shake Soy Protein

This BabbleBoxx includes both the Collagen-9 and the Life Shake Soy Protein. I love protein and collagen powders because they’re so easy and convenient – great for someone who is constantly on the move! I’ve mentioned in the past that I have such a tough time consuming as much protein as I need, so products that are gluten-free, convenient, and can be taken as a complete meal are ideal for me; these Shaklee products hit all the marks!

I love mixing collagen and protein powders into my coffee, so that was how I tried out these products the first time. They blended so easily (Pro tip: Use a milk frother!), and the taste of the French vanilla protein powder was great! The Collagen-9 is unflavored, which is perfect because I don’t have to worry about competing flavors!

Shaklee protein powder during volleyball
Having this protein powder came in handy in between volleyball games in my new league!

I’m a big fan of collagen because it is great for healthy skin and hair, plus, this brand provides you with 100% of your daily recommended value for Vitamin C and biotin. Fun fact: Collagen-9 gets its name because it includes all nine essential amino acids.

At 20g of protein for each serving (two scoops), the Life Shake Soy Protein helps give me that extra protein boost that I need! This is, of course, a plant-based vegan protein powder, so it’s also going to give you essential vitamins and minerals. I don’t know about you, but I (like most Americans) can always use additional fiber! When I mixed it up for volleyball, I just added water to it, but you can add fruits and vegetables to make it a smoothie, your choice of milk to make it a bit thicker, and it blends well if you add ice in addition to the liquid of your choice.

Zebra Pen: Journaling Set

If I can get these pens to last for all of 2022, it will be a miracle because I am wearing them out! I’ve been using these pens every day to make lists, take notes during meetings, doodle, journal, and anything else I can use them for!

I love all of the colors, so one of my favorite things to do right now is to use different colors for my journaling and list-making. It’s an easy way to brighten up my day! It’s also a great way to reward myself for organization; if I make a colorful list, I use a different color pen to check things off of the list, and it always feels good to add a checkmark to a list!

The pack I received comes with the Sarasa Clip gel pens and the Midliner Highlighters. What’s great is that they don’t smudge – something that’s important to people who write firmly like I do! The Midliner Highlighters are double-ended – they have a chisel tip on one end and a fine point on the other. Watch the video below to see these in action!

I love that this pack comes in a variety of mild colors. I think these colors are especially perfect for journaling because I find these colors to be very calming. A good friend of mine said that she likes to take notes for work in different colors for each month, that way she can go back and track items from past months by looking at the colors. A pack like this one would be perfect for that kind of note-taking!

Beetology

My inner Dwight Shrute wants to extol the benefits of beets in this post, but I know that’s not what you’re here for! (Here’s some great information about the health benefits of beets if that is what you’re here for.) Instead, I’m going to tell you about my experience with this delicious juice.
The two flavors I tried were Beet + Cherry and Beet + Veggies. Now, I’m going to be honest with you guys: I almost didn’t get to take any photos because after I took my first sip of the Beet + Cherry, I almost went in on that first bottle. 😳
I actually did completely crush the second bottle before I was able to record my Instagram Reel about this BabbleBoxx, but, fortunately, the store locator on their website showed me where I could pick up more in-person. I know the cashier at the grocery store thought something was wrong with me because Beetology was on sale so I bought… quite a few bottles. 😬 Full disclosure: They have five flavors available, and the store I visited yesterday only has one flavor currently available because I bought so many. Whoops.

Okay, so I’ve been telling you how much I love Beetology and apparently have no self-control when it comes to drinking it, but I haven’t even told you what it is!
Beetology is 100% organic cold-pressed juice and has no preservatives, additives, artificial colors, or artificial flavors. The Beet + Cherry flavor has only three ingredients, and the Beet + Veggie flavor has just five! Beets are such versatile veggies, so all of the flavors are great!
I like to drink these as an extra helping of vegetables, and they’re under 110 calories per serving, so they feel perfect for a snack!

Tree Hut: Vitamin C Whipped Shea Body Butter

As I person with very sensitive skin and eczema, I’m always a little nervous about trying new skincare/body care products. This body butter absolutely did not disappoint! It smells great, moisturized my skin, and left my skin feeling soft.
While trying out this product, I’ve been using it immediately following my evening shower routine. When I wake up in the morning, my skin is still feeling hydrated – something particularly critical during these dry winter months!
The key ingredients in this body butter are:
  • Vitamin C: Helps to brighten, firm, and even out skin tone.
  • Natural Shea Butter: If you’ve ever used anything with shea butter, you know that it does not play when it comes to moisturizing your skin! Shea is one of my go-to ingredients for the winter when my skin tends to run a lot drier.
  • Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA): AHAs are known for helping to exfoliate the skin, which in turn helps reveal a fresher tone and texture. The AHA used in this body butter is lactic acid, which is less likely to cause skin irritation – super important for those of us with sensitive skin and various skin conditions.

Monday: Zero Alcohol Gin

I know this might sound crazy to some of you, but hear me out: Non-alcoholic Gin-Gin Mules. Game. Changer. I used fresh lime juice, Monday’s zero alcohol gin, and a splash of ginger beer. I drank it in a crystal flute because I’m fancy like that.
I realized a few days ago that I’ve unintentionally been doing Dry January, but then again, I’m not a big drinker, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I did Dry January last year too. I am, however, a gin drinker, so I was super excited when I opened up my BabbleBoxx and saw a big bottle of gin. Imagine my surprise when I learned it has zero alcohol!
I’ll be honest: I was skeptical at first. As far as I know, I’d never tried non-alcholic gin, let alone heard of it in the first place! I was pleasantly surprised! It’s in the style of London Dry Gin, which is my favorite style of gin. It mixes well as a mocktail (I made Gin-Gin Mules and Gin and Tonics with mine), and the best part is that I can drink a few of them the night before teaching a class without worrying about it impacting my sleep or workout. In fact, I could drink one in the middle of the workday and not have it impact my work at all!

Want to try out one of Monday’s non-alcoholic spirits? Use the discount code Alexis15 for 15% off sitewide (subscriptions are excluded). One use per customer. Expires January 31, 2022.

Final Thoughts

I loved everything in this month’s BabbleBoxx! I’m always excited when I get to try new products, and end up incorporating them into my routines.
Have you ever tried any of the items in this box? If so, which ones? If not, which would you be most excited to try?
