When I say Follain rocked my world (which sounds so dramatic, I know), I really mean it: Beauty, makeup, and skincare products I thought were “clean beauty” products really are not even close by Follain’s standards. In fact, before I even attended the event at the store, I checked out their Restricted Ingredients list and was SHOOK! I went deep into the rabbit hole for hours (when I should’ve been sleeping!) and come to the following conclusion: I am going to have to throw out everything in my house!
Before I left the store on that fateful night, I wanted to buy one of everything but settled on a few skincare products (that’s a separate post for another day), and a great set of lip products. I’m not a regular makeup user, and when I do use it, it’s rarely heavy, so I mainly focus on a subtle lip, so filled-in brows, and maybe some simple eye makeup. Less is more for me, but I do admire a fully-beat face!
I am going to have to throw out everything in my house! – Me to me on Friday night
Okay, so here’s what I bought:
- Kari Gran Lip Whip in Tinted Peppermint
- Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioner in Arabian Nights
- French Girl Organics Rose Lip Polish
The Lip Whip and Rose Lip Polish actually came within a Two-Toned Follain Pouch as a lip set, so I was able to save some coins from this. The Lip Conditioner I bought separately.

Another great product! I was honestly pretty surprised when I put on this lipstick because the color transfer was a lot more subtle than what I was expecting. In the photo below (which is unfiltered, believe it or not!), I’m wearing the lipstick with some of the gloss on top. See how subtle the color is? It’s definitely not the dark red you see on the surface, unless, of course, you want to layer more product on top. I loved the color the way it was at the first swipe, so I know this lipstick is going to last a while for me!
What’s more, I didn’t even have to do the whole “tissue kiss” to get the product from clumping on my lips, thereby saving even more of the product! Win-win!
Does anyone else suffer from drier lips when the wind picks up? I got to test out the lip polish (just as I did with all of the other products) before buying, and it was so great! It’s essentially a lip scrub, and because it’s made with sugar, you don’t have to worry about a yucky aftertaste. I love that it’s moisturizing and has enough sugar to exfoliate without feeling like you’re stripping the skin off of your lips! In fact, the second time I used this product, I didn’t even have to add gloss once I wiped off the excess sugar!
