The Last Week of October
I haven’t written one of these “what I’m up to this week” posts in a hot minute, so I thought I’d post one today!
Check out the fitness-related activities I’m planning to get into this week! Check out my Instagram stories for more info
Monday
Tomorrow, I’m teaching a 6am indoor cycling class. It’s a regular 45-minute class, but it’s also at 6am on a Monday. Am I nuts for signing up to sub this class? Maybe, but I have an early day at work tomorrow anyway, so why not?! In the evening, I’m planning to go help my sister coach some volleyball, and I may even get in some evening yoga. I don’t have a volleyball game of my own tomorrow night, so it wouldn’t hurt to get in a little bonus exercise in the evening.
Tuesday
I’m really excited about my 6:45pm SPARK class! I’m doing a Disco Halloween theme, and I can’t wait to see the kind of energy my class brings to the cycle studio! The playlist is mostly not disco, but I want disco energy in the classroom that evening. This is a great group of riders who make teaching a lot of fun. I’m sure they’re going to bring their A-games!
Wednesday
Right now, Wednesday is looking mostly low key, but we’ll see. It’s often my rest day, but I want to start incorporating more yoga into my weekly routine, and this might be a good week to start. I’m thinking that I will try to get in a regular yoga practice either on Wednesdays or Fridays and since I’m trying to take it easy with the running until my ankle feels better, I don’t have a ton of options. I could do some strength training, but I would have to focus on the upper body.
Thursday
I have my regular 7am class on Thursday morning, which just happens to also be Halloween! I will have a Halloween-inspired playlist, but I’m definitely not dressing up that early in the morning! In the evening, our high school team has their first round of playoffs, and I’ll be there to help out. Coincidentally, we’ll be coaching against one of our friends/teammates! We beat them earlier this season, but teams look a lot different from the beginning of the season to the end.
Friday
Again, not sure if this will be a yoga day, but we’ll see! I would love to be able to run this Friday, but I just don’t see this happening yet. I really dislike having to place limitations on how I can work out, but it’s a necessary evil when you’re injured. Maybe next time I won’t go running down a muddy hill at full speed!
Saturday
This week, I won’t be teaching a double. That means I should have a bit more energy this weekend! BUT, it looks like DMV Fitness Fam will be hosting a workout in the morning, and I’ll head over to my class immediately afterward. I’m really looking forward to Saturday because it’s my favorite day of the year: Fall back! We’ll be setting our clocks back an hour, and I’ll be getting an extra hour of sleep that night!
Sunday
Okay, so now we’re thinking a little too far in advance. Stay tuned!
What do you have going on this week? Anything new you’re trying out? Anything fun for Halloween?
You have a busy week ahead! Planning out your workouts is a smart idea for sure. So great to see you!
I once read that if you put it on your calendar, you're more likely to do it, and I think that really holds up! It was great to see you too! 🙂
