WIN Detergent Review and Giveaway

Anybody who says their gym clothes don’t stink either has never worn them, or is a bald-faced liar. There! I said it! Now that we’ve got that little bit out of the way, let’s have a serious conversation about the stank that lies within your gym clothes.

I don’t know about you guys, but for some reason — thanks to all of the layers I wear due to the cold weather — I don’t realize just how funky and sweaty my workout clothes can get in the winter! After my race last weekend, when I got to the gym where I had my volleyball tournament, and took off my running clothes… Woooo! Talk about funky! (Thank God I had some wipes, because that was not cute.) By the end of the day, those funky running clothes had just been stewing in my gym bag, begging to be washed. And wash them I did! When I got home, I took my funky volleyball and running clothes, a bottle of WIN, and got to it!

As a Sweat Pink Ambassador, I had the opportunity to review WIN detergent. I received two free bottles of the detergent — the regular formula, and the green version. I have to admit, I was skeptical about how my skin was going to react to the regular formula. I have very sensitive skin, and stick to dye- and fragrance-free detergents. I’ve had bad reactions to way too many detergents! The only issue I usually have with dye- and fragrance-free detergents is that they don’t always leave my clothes with that fresh, clean smell. I usually throw in a dryer sheet with things like my blankets, sheets, and pajamas, but most things never make it to the dryer.

Surprisingly, I had no issues with the regular WIN (the blue cap). It left my clothes smelling clean and fresh, without making me break out in hives. You know what you call that? That’s right. A WIN-WIN!

It smells so good! So much WIN!

I might be imagining things, but I think that the detergent not only got out that “already worn” smell that often remains in athletic gear after you’ve washed it (mostly due to the science involved with moisture-wicking materials), but everything seemed to dry much quicker! I’ve fallen in love with this detergent so quickly, I decided to test it out on all sorts of non-athletic apparel as well! Underwear, socks, and even my white button down shirts have gone through the WIN test, and came out even better than they did with regular detergent. I know that it’s meant for athletic apparel, but I am telling you it works wonders on your drawers.

Alright, so let me give you so more specs before we get to the giveaway, ey?

  • WIN comes in 32 oz bottles. They have little caps, and you just put two caps worth into your washing machine.
  • The blue cap is the regular formula, and the green cap is the “green” version. The green version is the dye- and fragrance-free version.
  • WIN is made in U.S.A.
  • It’s not as widely available as the larger detergent brands. You can find out where it’s sold near you by checking out their retailer locator link; however, they also sell it on Amazon. (Use the code WINGIVE1 to get $1 off a bottle of WIN on Amazon.)

Okay, okay, okay! Now the part you’ve all been waiting for! One of you lovely readers will win (heehee) TWO bottles of WIN detergent! You will get both the regular formula and the green version. Yay! Be sure to enter the Rafflecopter below to be eligible to win. I will pick a winner next weekend. The winner will have 24 hours to respond to an email stating that they’re the winner. If they don’t respond in time, I will pick another winner at random. Make sure you don’t try to cheat (I’m a pro at spotting cheaters!) and good luck!
