R.I.P. Fitbit
I’m so sad, you guys! Last week, on my way home from work, my fitbit unhooked from my pants, and fell out of my pocket. I didn’t realize it until I got home, so it could really be anywhere between the Capitol and my house in Maryland. I was so sad when I realized this!
I’m honestly not sure how it could have happened. I’ve hooked my fitbit inside my pant pockets plenty of times. How it unhooked and fell out is just mind boggling to me. I’d reached epic step levels that day, and hadn’t even reached volleyball practice yet. I was so excited to hit the 15K step mark on a regular work day. That never happens for me!
I know I won’t be able to get my fitbit back, so what do I do next?
I’ve thought of a couple of things. I could replace the fitbit zip, buy a different fitbit, buy a completely different brand of fitness tracker, or just go without any fitness tracker. I know I won’t buy another fitbit zip. I really enjoyed it, but I do wish it could do a little more, especially now that I’ve started working out more. It did its job, but now I need something a little more hardcore. On top of needing it to do a little more, I did get some skin irritation from it from time to time, depending on where I put it. That’s no bueno either.
If I don’t really need an activity tracker now, I believe eventually will. They’re super helpful, and I think I would really need one as I start getting more competitive with endurance sports. At the very least, I’ll likely need a GPS watch. Right?
In short, I’m sad I no longer have my fitbit, but I’m not sure how I want to remedy this situation just yet. Stay tuned!
How do you track your activities? Are there any activity trackers or GPS watches you would recommend? Have you ever lost a piece of equipment or fitness clothing that you love?
