Fit Fashion: Victoria’s Secret The Incredible Sports Bra Review

As you know, I’ve been on a bit of a Victoria’s Secret Sport review kick. This is, of course, because I received a free Victoria’s Secret Sport bra and tights, as well as a handful of coupons to share with friends and family. Thanks to Influenster, I received this amazing Influenster Vox Box.

The sports bra I received was The Incredible. I liked the print because it was different from all of the other sports bras I owned of a variety of brands (I’m kind of boring when it comes to sports bra colors and prints), and it was fun. When I went to the store, I couldn’t find any others with the same print, so I also felt like a special flower (was this why it had a floral print?).

In short, I like this sports bra. It’s not my favorite from the new line, but it does a pretty decent job. I give it a B.

The Good:

I have really come to enjoy racerback sports bras. I don’t really know what took me so long to come around on racerbacks for sports, but I love them! I’m not much of a fun when it comes to regular, everyday bras, but they are just so comfortable for sports. I mean, you dont have to mess with the straps during fitness activities. You’d think I would have caught on a long time ago!

What I like with some of the newer racerback designs I’ve tried is that they have hooks on them as well. I feel like this gives it a little extra support in the back, while also making it easier to remove when it’s all sweaty and gross. We all know how tough it can be to get a sports bra off when it’s sweaty!

Another great thing about The Incredible is that it has separated cups. This has become a must-have for me. It gives you extra support this way, while holding everything in place. The cups on The Incredible have padding on them as well, which has become increasingly necessary for me. It has a bit of a lower cut, sort of like a V-neck, which you can see in the pictures. (I’m not trying to seduce you guys, so you’re not going to see a picture of me wearing it!)

This sports bra comes in lots of different colors, which is a plus, especially if you’re planning to buy multiples.

The Bad:

Victoria’s Secret claims that this is a high impact sports bra, but I’m not entirely sure about that. The band at the bottom was a bit loose, despite it fitting perfectly everywhere else. I know that a smaller band would be way too tight, so I think that’s just how it’s cut. I tried on a different bra the last time I went to VS just to see if the issue was just with the one I owned, and it had the same issue. This might be good for folks in between band sizes, but it was a little annoying for me.

When I wore the sports bra while running, I felt like I had a little too much movement. It definitely wasn’t as supportive as some of my other sports bras, and I had to cut my run short because I was worried I would have pain if I went for the long run I’d planned.

Strangely enough, however, it felt supportive for volleyball. This might be because of the position I generally play (setter) requires less jumping, and more lateral motion. I also run sprints instead of running continuously for long periods. I’m not a scientist, but this was the conclusion I drew.

As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, Victoria’s Secret Sport bras are on the pricey end. There are plenty of sports bras you can find that are more expensive, and brands like Nike and Reebok have comparable prices, but it’s not cheap. The good thing is that VS often runs promotions, so, if you’re a smart shopper, you may be able to find yourself with a great deal.

Final Assessment:

Though it is not a contender for being my favorite sports bra of all time, it’s still pretty good. I definitely recommend trying this one on before purchasing it because of the weird band situation I experienced. I recommend against this one for running, but I think it would be good for lifting, and medium- to low-impact sports.

This is a sponsored blog post. Influenster provided me with complimentary Victoria’s Secret products to test and review as part of a contest. Of course, you know I keep it real with my reviews, so don’t worry! I am going to be totally honest with you in this review, per usual.
