My December 2020 Goals

It’s that time again! I’m sharing my goals for the remainder of December, and essentially the last few weeks of 2020. Can you believe we’re less than a month from 2021? Finally, right?

I have set lots of goals throughout the year, and while things have been chaotic (understatement of the century, right?), I have surprised myself in my ability to check off most of the items on my list. I have done a ton of professional development, made new connections (albeit virtually), and found ways to lose weight and take charge of my nutrition and self-care practices.

My work isn’t done for 2020, though! I have some final goals for this month, so let’s get to it!

Teach 5 Yoga Classes

My goal for this month is to teach five yoga classes. As part of my current yoga teacher training (I’m going for my 500-Hour Certification – learn more in this podcast episode), and one of the requirements is that I teach 20 free, or karma, yoga classes. I’m getting close! In addition to these free classes, I also have to teach 100 hours of yoga to upgrade my Yoga Alliance certification from 200-RYT to 500-RYT. This is all yoga teacher jargon that you have probably skipped over already, but you get the point.
TL; DR: I am working on teaching lots of yoga classes so that I can become a 500-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (I’m currently a 200-RYT). You can sign up to take a free virtual yoga class with me here.

Blog More

I’ve been doing better since late summer, but I can do much more! You don’t even want to know how many blog posts are in draft form right now. I have so much information to share, but I haven’t been great about actually publishing it! Since I have the last two weeks of the year off of work, I plan to get a lot of draft posts in the pipeline and scheduled to be published. Not gonna catch me slippin’ in 2021!

Create a Workout to Share With All of You

I don’t know if it’s going to be yoga, indoor cycling, HIIT, barre, or what, but I want to share a workout with all of you! I have so many classes that I’ve planned over the last few years, and it’s about time that I share them with all of you lovely people! If you have a preference for one over another, please let me know. I love to hear from you, but it’s also helpful for me to know if there’s more interest for one type of workout over another.

Wrap Up Season 1 of The Sweat Fearlessly Podcast

First, I am so proud of my podcast! I can’t believe it took me so long to just suck it up and put it out there in the world! I’ve been wanting to host a podcast for well over a year now, but the perfectionsist in me had prevented me from just going for it. Fortunately, that perfectionist was finally hushed up, and my podcast is going well! I have interviewed some really fascinating people and have learned so much throughout this first season. I encourage you to give it a listen, subscribe/follow, and leave a review! Here’s how to tune in to The Sweat Fearlessly Podcast:

Complete 50% of My Current Yoga Teacher Training

As I mentioned earlier, I’m working on my 300-hour yoga teacher training so that I can become a 500-hour certified yoga teacher. I’m doing my yoga teacher training through My Vinyasa Practice once again, and they administer their virtual training via Teachable. What I like is that it show you a little completion bar as you work through the program. I’m competitive and metrics-driven, so I love it! I’m at 37% completion as of this writing, but my goal is to be at least at 50% by the end of the month. My goal is to finish my 500-hour training before my birthday in February, so I have a lot of work to do! Forutnately, the two sections I’m most excited for (restorative yoga and yin yoga) are coming up, and I think I’m really going to power through these.
Next up is prenatal yoga, and I think that’s going to be a bit of a challenge for me, but I’m determined to finish in the next two months!
What are your goals for the remainder of the year? Share some or all of them in the comments!
